Without you, I couldn't do it.

To the man sitting in front of me on the train this morning..... I don't know what I'm most upset about, the fact that you are eating a amazingly smelling chick-fil-a breakfast or that you won't share with me. Haha.

I think the worst thing about dieting and working out and getting in shape is watching others devour something that you want so badly. I'm sitting here, had just worked out, dreaming of the most delicious protein shake I get to have In about an hour when I get to the office. Sounds like heaven right? UGH KILL ME I WANT CHICK-FIL-A DAMNIT!!!!!

Anyways I'm so hungry, but that's not the point of today's post. Today I want to get all sappy and shit.

I never ever thought that writing this blog for myself would turn into something that has gotten me suck a positive response. When I started doing this maybe a year or so ago I even hesitated putting it on Facebook.... I was like really? Do I really want to put it all out there? Do I really want people knowing my sizes, my weight (which u still don't know yet :-P), horrid pictures of me? Do I? But then I did it and you know what, it wasn't that bad. And then I started being real and the responses I got were just awesome. And even now, the more I post the more I get inspiration. I think of this blog as more of an accountability blog instead of a motivational blog or just my horrible rantings, because now I know people are reading it and I'm being held accountable for my actions.

What people have said to me, the good, the bad (ahhhemmmm read prior blog posts haha) it's all been the most amazing support I could have ever even imagined. I don't need a million followers but a few good people saying a few good things just make it all so much more worth it. This positive response and the fact that I feel like something I might be saying might get someone back to the gym or even just get them thinking about how they are doing just makes me feel great. I've never been a person that felt like they have ever made a difference in ANYONE'S life or felt inspirational to ANYONE so the fact that I'm getting people to even read my blog makes me tear up.

I think the most notable one was from the amazing Sophie yesterday. She commented on my post about what I would tell my 12 year old self:

I've just started reading your blog and girl, I FEEL YOU. I look exactly as you do and have never been able to relate to someone so much. I have struggled with feeling horrid, feeling like people are staring at me because of my weight for my whole life. You can do it and I'm sure if you keep going the way you are, you will look absolutely stunning on your wedding day. Thanks for the motivation, all the way from Aus! :) Sophie

I think the reason I cried when I saw this was because she's not my friend, she's not someone I know, she's not
Someone who I have on Facebook that gets my updates about when I post, she found my blog and is a complete stranger and really likes it! That just makes me feel so good about what I'm doing.

So many of my amazing friends have had amazing things to say and it just makes me feel so great. I honestly couldn't do this without the MOTIVATION from you. So, to the most amazing people that take the time to read my horrifically written blog, I THANK YOU. YOU ARE THE REASON I DO THIS!!!

And I love you for it.

Ok, I'm done being sappy

Also I'm so excited that today is voting day just because I'm sick of all the fighting on Facebook! I mean come on, do we really need to fight about each others political views?!? No we don't. Everyone has the right to their own opinion and If your opinion and mine don't match, who gives a fuck! No need to get in personally heated debates about it. Today's the day that matters so get out there and vote for whoever you want! Just make it count.

Ok. Time to sleep for a few minutes. Happy Election Day everyone!

(Check out my emo thank you pic to you guys. So hot and emo)

Half-way home.... Crank is almost done.

First of all, I never thought I would even make it past 2 weeks. If you know me, you know that my dedication to working out is slim-to-none. Actually getting into a routine and going to the gym everyday and getting on a good diet, just isn't for me. But it's been half way through our crank program at Raise the Bar in Manassas with Evie, and I'm happy to say, I am seeing some results!!! Not only am I getting stronger, building up my endurance and becoming more flexible, I've also lost 8lbs and 8 1/2 inches!!!! (let me explain the inches, that's in my waist, arms and legs for a grand total of 8 1/2) and I know it doesn't seem like a lot, but for me it is, considering I GAIN 10LBS EVERYTIME I WATCH A PIZZA HUT COMMERCIAL.... but damn THAT'S PRETTY GOOD FOR ME!

I was really surprised to actually see that. I mean honestly, I am doing the best I can. I can't just wake up one day at the beginning of this and go ok, I'm changing my WHOLE LIFE. I'm not ever going to eat any junk food, I'm not going to drink (HAHAHAHAHHAH REALLY?), and I'm going to work out 7 days a week. A shock like that to my body would probably kill me HAHA. But I am, getting dedicated. Working out 5 times a week with a day of cardio for 6 times a week, eating WAY healthier than I have in a long time, and drinking a gallon of water a day (the evidence is in the gallon jug on my desk haha). I feel so much better, I have more energy, and although I haven't lost a ton of weight yet, I am building so much muscle and I'm doing it the right way so that I don't just gain it all back.

I think another thing that is really helping me along is my isagenix shakes. I love that shit. Vanilla with the power boost makes it taste like a creamsicle and shittttttt, having that for breakfast or dinner everyday makes a HUGE difference. I can honestly say I have tried EVERY FREAKING weight loss shake, diet, program on the market, and this just tops them all because it TASTES good!!!!! I love it because I don't have to get up in the morning and think about preparing a full meal, I can just throw a shake together, drink, and I'm full till my mid-morning snack! Same for dinner.. I'm finding it's hard get home, cook dinner, and then go work out, so instead, I'm just having a shake. Isagenix is my new favorite thing. I think I'm going to do the 30 day program next, just to see how it works for me - and clearly I will let you know how it goes along the way. But I really just want to take my time, drop the weight and do it in a healthy way so that it doesn't come back!

Besides that, I really love the support my friends are giving me. They really are pushing me and talking to me about this whole diet thing and giving me advice - I honestly can say I couldn't do this without them!

But wait, here's another take away from my blog today - did you know that pandora has some kick ass workout stations???? CHECK IT OUT BITCHESSSS: I love it, and I get pumped the F up! hahahaha

Frankly... starting to get annoyed.

Ok so, there comes a time where people change. And right now, I am changing. My focus on life is getting in shape and dropping lb's, not going out and drinking and being social. If you know me, you know that I am up every morning at 4:30am, heading to work by 5, working from 6:30-3, back home by 4:30pm, grab a quick dinner, maybe do an hour or so of freelance (to pay for this wedding), then am at the gym from basically 7pm-9pm, get home, and repeat. I don't even get to spend time with Juan, let alone go out and be social with people... so IF you know my schedule, and IF you know me, you would be happy for me, and happy that I'm finally getting into a routine where I am working out. But no. Apparently, I'm still the bad guy.

AND THE FUNNY THING IS IM ACTUALLY LOSING WEIGHT AND I CAN'T EVEN BE EXCITED BECAUSE MY FRIENDS ARE ALL MAD AT ME!!!!!!!

Listen.... I don't live in Arlington, so I can't just go to work at 8:30, come home, go to bocce, work out, blah blah blah, I can't. The fact of the matter is that I live in the middle of F'ing NOWHERE (that being so we could purchase a home) and driving in and out of DC takes time, and unfortunately, it takes too much time for me that I can't get a workout in if I decide to go out and drink... which, I'm sorry, is not on my main priorities right now. It's starting to get really annoying when people are getting pissed at me because I don't have time to hang out anymore because I'M TRYING TO GET SKINNY. As my friend, you should support this.

Just because I'm working out, doesn't mean I'm not friends with people anymore, it just means my priorities have changed and not only do I not have time to hang out with my friends, I don't even have time for Juan, and he has to be the priority.

BLAH - ANYWAYS, I'm OVER people giving me shit for all of this, I am a good friend to A LOT OF PEOPLE, and I'm just asking you to not be pissed at me please. Now, if you need me, I will be working out. HAHA.

PS- PUMPKIN SPICED LATTES ARE BACK BABY, SO MAYBE WE CAN GO GET A COFFEE TOGETHER (and then work out ;)
OH, and get the damn LivingSocial deal so we can get coffee on the cheap ;)

Detoxxx Time - I found my friend!

Yesssss! Talk about great morning - I love getting chats saying, "I'm going to try your detox again starting next week". YESSSS. Looks like I've got a detox buddy and I won't be miserable and alone...

K and I will be starting on Monday, anyone else wanna try it out? If you want to know the rules again, here they are!

Remove all of the following from diet for 4 weeks:
•Fried Food
•What
•Refined Sugar
•Dairy
•Alcohol
•Caffeine...

To put it easy... all you should be eating is lean meats, fruits, veggies, and long grain brown rice and if you need a potato, you can have sweet potatoes....

And ok ok ok I know no one can go 4 weeks without ALCOHOL... so if you NEEED to, just stick to vodka and water. That's it, Vods and WADS. Nothing more... NO CHEATING.

So since I'll be back on this again, if you see me cheat, KICK MY ASS... Because I know I'm going to be kicking Kim's ass.

Sweet... can't wait to start having proteins, fruits, veggies, humus and quinoa for the next 4 weeks straight... grrr... ok... enough bitching, TIME TO DROP SOME LBBBBB'S!!!!!

XOXOX
